GOLDHANGER, LITTLE TOTHAM and TOLLESHUNT MAJOR W.I.
Our May meeting will be our AGM and will be held in the Village Hall on May 4th at 7.30. There will be a review of the year’s events and activities and the opportunity to vote for the committee and President. Sheila’s flower was very lonely on the table last month so please look in your garden for a single Spring bloom to share in the competition.
Marion Pettet came to talk to us at our April meeting and she was excellent in her delivery and content. The presentation was very slick and assured with lots of information which everybody enjoyed. We all agreed that an evening out to the Chelmsford Ballet Company’s next production in March of next year is a must.
Refreshments were enjoyed and birthday posies given out. Thanks to those members who made both so beautifully. We heard about the successful outing to the Bowling Alley and Sheila’s triumph which was duly rewarded with the presentation of a cup….not the biggest trophy we have ever seen but much appreciated, nonetheless.
We will be kept busy in May with our ANNUAL PLANT SALE which will be held in the Village Hall on May 21st. If any member can join the teams for selling plants, making or selling cakes etc please contact Joyce. The charity for this year is AUTISM EAST ANGLIA. Also on May 10th we have our EVENING WALK TO THE SWAN. Last year’s evening walk was lovely with a balmy spring evening making it very memorable. Let’s hope for similar weather this year.
The coach for our outing to Cambridge on June 14th is now fully booked. We will leave Goldhanger Square at 9.15.
New members are always welcome so please contact us.
